Dr. Oded Herbsman, MD
Childs Light Pediatrics
Completed medical school at Duke University and pediatric residency at the University of California in San Francisco. He served as Medical Director of Pediatric Inpatient Services, Chief of the Pediatric Hospitalist Division, and Vice Chair for the Department of Pediatrics at California Pacific Medical Center. He helped found the Sutter Health Childhood Asthma Initiative to standardize guidelines for the treatment of asthma. He is a certified medical acupuncturist and Chinese herbal practitioner with a special interest in complementary and alternative medicine. Dr. Herbsman is a Fellow in the American Academy of Pediatrics and resides in Marin County with his wife and two children.
Dr. J. Kirsten Voss, MD, OB/GYN
Dr. Voss is an OB/GYN with Women/s Medical in Greenbrae and Novato. She attended medical school at Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia and completed her residency at the University of California Irvine Medical Center in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Her hospital affiliations include Marin General and Novato Community Hospitals. Dr. Voss is well-known and well-liked in the community and has received many accolades from patients and colleagues alike, for her ability to connect with her patients with compassion and professionalism. She and her family live in Marin.
Yeshi Neumann,
CNM, MA, MPH
Inspired by the homebirth of her first daughter in 1970, Yeshi
began attending births in a rural community three hours from the
nearest hospital. She became a Certified Nurse Midwife in 1980
and has practiced midwifery in a many settings, from high-obstetrics
in an urban hospital to working with traditional midwives in Nicaragua,
Guatemala, Mexico and Tibet. In addition to being a CNM, Yeshi has a Masters Degree in History from Columbia University and a Masters in Public Health from the University of California. She is a regular speaker at national and international conferences.
Margie King, IBCLC
(Lactation Consultant)
Marin Breastfeeding Coalition Member.
Margie is a certified Lactation Consultant with hospital experience, who has a gentle and encouraging manner with moms and babies. She is well known in Marin and the East Bay where she has worked with moms and moms-to-be for many years, in many supportive capacities.
Angelique Millette (PhDc, MFTt, PCD/CD [DONA])
Angelique is a parent coach, infant/toddler sleep and postpartum mood disorder researcher, lactation educator, DONA-certified birth and postpartum doula, and child therapist intern who has worked with families across the Bay Area, the United States and Europe for the past 15 years. She specializes in infant/child development and how parents can meet their own sleep needs while helping their young ones meet theirs. Angelique does not follow one specific sleep program, but rather helps families by taking into account family schedule, infant/toddler/child development and parenting philosophy, all while keeping an eye on sleep deprivation, infant-parent bonding, parental overwhelm, depression and anxiety. Angelique’s doctoral research addresses the correlation between infant sleep locations/methods, maternal postpartum depression/anxiety, and maternal attachment.
Dr. Colleen Lindstrom, DC
Dr. Lindstrom is a chiropractic doctor and also practices cranial sacral work for infants and parents. She is very active in community outreach. She is the mother of a boy and a girl, and lives in Marin County.
Emily Schaffer, PCD (DONA), HBE Postpartum Advocate
Emily has her BA in Holistic Health and is a certified instructor for Baby Signing and Happiest Baby on the Block technique. She taught Womens Studies at Dolma Ling Nunnery, one of the first Tibetan Buddhist nunneries in Dharmasala India and has volunteered at the The Rio Dulce orphanage taking care of abandoned newborn children.
Emily is an active member of DONA International, La Leche League as well as Marin, San Francisco and East Bay doula groups. She holds a Board position on Central Oregon Birth Network in Bend, Oregon as the Postpartum Advocate. She is also an Instructor and Volunteer Coordinator at The Parents Center in San Rafael. She has assisted families through her work as Postpartum Doula and in other supportive capacities for over 18 years. She lives in her native town of Mill Valley with her husband.
